Avenue B Deodorant

What’s in it, and why?

Beeswax holds the deodorant together in a solid stick. It gives the formula structure so it stays firm in the tube while still soft enough to glide onto the skin. Beeswax also helps slow moisture loss and gives the deodorant its stable texture.

Shea butter provides skin conditioning. It contains natural fatty acids that help soften the skin and prevent dryness or irritation, which can sometimes happen with deodorant use.

Coconut oil contributes glide and mild antimicrobial properties. It helps the deodorant spread smoothly across the skin and has naturally occurring fatty acids that are often included in personal care products for freshness.

Sweet almond oil improves the feel of the deodorant on the skin. It makes the stick smoother and easier to apply while adding lightweight moisture.

Arrowroot powder helps absorb moisture. It is a plant-derived starch that is commonly used in natural body care to help keep skin feeling dry and comfortable.

Magnesium hydroxide helps control odor. It works by neutralizing odor-causing compounds on the skin without blocking sweat glands. Many natural deodorant formulas use magnesium because it is effective while still being gentle for many people.

Essential oils provide scent.

This deodorant is designed to help manage odor while allowing the body to sweat naturally. Unlike antiperspirants, it does not contain aluminum salts that block sweat glands. Instead, it relies on moisture-absorbing plant powders and odor-neutralizing minerals to keep you feeling fresh.
